Advocate Jacob van Garderen is the national project coordinator of Lawyers for Human Rights' Refugee Rights Project and has been actively involved in South African refugee law since 1998. Jacob holds the BCom and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria and he is a practicing advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
